Frequently asked questions

A few things people ask before they hit send.

What is TimeKind?
It’s a gift of time back. You pick an amount (an hour, half a day, or a full day), write a note if you want to, pay, and we email you a PDF you can forward or print. That’s the whole thing.
What does the recipient actually receive?
They get whatever you send them. We email the PDF to you first so you can check it, then you pass it on when you’re ready. The file has the gift name, your message if you added one, and a reference code.
Does the gift expire?
Yes. Each gift certificate is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The PDF and your confirmation show the exact use-by date for that order.
Why do you email me instead of the recipient?
Most people want to control the timing. Birthday morning, random Tuesday, after a rough week, whatever. If we blasted the recipient directly you’d lose that.
What kinds of things can this translate to in real life?
Think chores someone would happily skip: a clean at home, the lawn, the car washed, meals batch-cooked, bits of life admin. It won’t look the same for everyone. The small print on the PDF spells out how the money side works.
Do I need an account?
No account, no password. Checkout, pay, done.
Which payment cards do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payments go through Stripe.
How fast will I get the email?
Most of the time, a few minutes after it clears. If nothing shows up, peek in spam. Still stuck? hello@timekind.co.uk.
Can I get a refund?
If something’s gone wrong, email hello@timekind.co.uk. We’ll sort what we can. It depends a bit on whether we’ve already sent the gift out.
Is TimeKind only for the UK?
Prices are in GBP and we’re aiming this at people in the UK. Buying from abroad might still work with your bank, but we’re not promising anything outside that yet.
Where can I read about privacy and data?
Have a read of our Privacy policy. It covers checkout, email, and the few services we use to run the site.
